My cat Mollie passed away suddenly about a month ago.
Why hasn’t she come in my dreams yet? I really want to see her and hold her and give her a kiss.
MY ANSWER:
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your cat, Mollie. Losing a beloved friend and companion is an incredibly painful experience, and it’s natural to want to find ways to connect with her again.
As to why Mollie hasn’t appeared in your dreams yet, it’s difficult to say definitively. Dreams are complex and can be influenced by many factors, including our emotions, experiences, and subconscious thoughts. Sometimes, it takes time for our minds to process grief and loss, and dreams may not always provide the comfort or connection we seek.
Grief can also cause you to not remember your dreams, even though Mollie may have visited.
Please know that it’s okay to feel this way, and it’s important to allow yourself time to grieve and heal.
Ask Mollie to visit in a dream or to send you a sign. Any sign. Then be open to what she sends. Pay attention to your surroundings. Signs are subtle, so be on the lookout.
My book, The Pet I Can’t Forget, has dozens of chapters filled with all the different signs pets can send. Knowing where to look, what to look for, and how animals send signs can help you and Mollie reconnect and keep those bonds of love strong.

This post got me. I just had to put my beloved senior cat, Flounder, and I was just recommended to listen to your audio book, The Amazing Afterlife of Animals. Having a background in science I didn’t want to believe afterlife communication was real. But you opened my mind and my heart to the unseen world. I just read The Pet I Can’t Forget, and until then had not received any signs from Flounder. Upon finishing your book, I had the most realistic dream visit! I felt him – his fur – his warmth – his biquits – his purrs. It was HIM! Thank you Karen…you have literally change my life, helped my heart heal and gotten me through the worst time ever.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Flounder. Knowing my books are helping to ease your journey warms my heart. I have no doubt he is sending you many signs and now you know they are real. It is really him. Remember to thank him each time and invite him to send more. Thank you for your kind words.
The pain is real and deep. It hurts to the point of physical pain. I hope you have my books to ease your journey. They can lift some of that burden you carry.
Dearest Karen thank you. And yes I feel My little calico cat Cassie has guided me to your books I read the pet I can’t forget and even when I already read that one I intend to buy it because when this happens again I could reread it and comfort I am reading your other book called amazing afterlife. These books are a big help and your story is amazing and very interesting it went through so much.
Thank you to you and Cassie for the kindness. I have no doubt she has guided you my way. Our departed companions know instinctively who can help us on our journey. I appreciate your feedback more than you know.
Karen, your words have helped me by giving me faith that my sweet boy, Balloo will be there awaiting with his beautiful smiling eyes & his constantly waggy tail. God bless you.
I’m so sorry for your loss of your sweet boy, Balloo. It is so hard to trust what we cannot see, but look with your heart and sense with the knowing there is nowhere else he would rather be than with you.
I wanted to thank you so very much for taking the time to reply to my email, and I must say your words brought me a great deal of comfort.
Your site, App, videos and books have helped me so much since losing my beloved calico cat, Tootie. I have ordered another of your books as I’ve already read The Amazing Afterlife of Animals in about 4 days I couldn’t put it down.
I absolutely believe my beautiful Tootie is by my side forever and always.
Thank you again so very much and I wish you all the best.
Thank you for your kind words. I am so grateful and honored to share all these resources with you. I have poured my heart and soul into them and will keep doing so until I can no longer! Blessings to you and your beloved Tootie.
