If you are new to the idea of connecting with a departed pet or have never had a session before, you may wonder if there is a certain time frame to wait before scheduling an appointment.
After conducting thousands of sessions, not once has an animal told me to let their soul rest or to try again later.
In fact, some were so excited and anxious to share messages with their humans they showed up BEFORE their appointment.
Your departed pets want you to know they are alive and well in spirit.
Most animals are ready to communicate right away. We are the ones who need time to grieve and be emotionally balanced. Strong emotions of any kind can greatly affect the outcome of a session or the delivery of energetic messages.
While there is NO SET TIME to communicate after a pet dies, each soul is unique and sends messages in different ways. Any professional communicator should be able to navigate those differences.
Bring positive, loving energy no matter when you connect.
If your beliefs or religious background differs, then follow those guidelines and wait until you feel it is the right time.
If you have had a session and your departed pet did not send a lot of messages, it may be their personality. Were they quiet in life? If yes, they may be the same way in their afterlife.

I have had other communicators in the past but only got general messages. It really matters to find someone that is skilled. After I had a session with your colleague, Judy, it was completely different. She brought so many things through that only me and my cat knew. It was so powerful. I highly recommend her services. Thank you again, I’m so grateful
There are a lot of other opinions out there about this, but I agree with you. Some of my deceased pets sent me messages right away. Others came to me in dreams later. I feel each soul is unique and we need to honor our grief first and foremost. I made the mistake of not being balanced and thought my cat, Sherman did not want to communicate with me. It turns out I was just too overwhelmed with the emotions of grief. Lesson learned! He was very willing to communicate once I was in a better space to receive his messages. Great info Karen!
Hi Karen, thanks for this information. I booked a session with one of your colleagues and was completely blown away. I am forever grateful – I am scheduling another appointment for my current dog next. I am totally amazed at the detailed messages that came through.
I really appreciate knowing there is no time frame. I felt that I would disrupt my sweet boy’s journey. I miss him so much. Tucker died suddenly and I have so many questions. I’ll wait until I am ready and open to hear his messages. In the mean time, I am devouring your books and your podcasts. So helpful!
